Green Tea is one of the world’s most common teas.  The processing of green tea is only a few steps; withering, steaming or pan-frying to stop the leaves from oxidising. The leaves are then either dried or rolled in to small balls.

China and Japan are the main producers of Green Tea. Many traditional methods are still used to process the teas.

Green Tea has many health benefits and is refreshing to drink, with reduced amounts of caffeine. Rich in phyto chemicals, those contain catechins, stimulating the body’s metabolism, meanwhile being a detoxifying.

While most Green Teas are obtained in the loose-leaf form, there are also some available in powdered form. Green Tea in powdered form is great for cooking, adding to milk shakes, and lattes.
